PCB DESIGNING COMPETITION
In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, the IEEE IA/IE/PELS Jt. Chapter Kerala organized an online PCB Designing Competition, aimed at empowering and encouraging women in electronics and engineering. The competition provided a platform for participants to gain hands-on experience in PCB design, enhance their technical skills, and apply their creativity to real-world problem-solving.
Winners:-
1st Place – Neethu Jaison, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirapally, Kottayam
2nd Place – Parvathi Rajesh, Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology
3rd Place – Irin Jinni, GEC Thrissur
The competition turned out to be a great learning experience for all involved. Participants found the problem statement both challenging and exciting, as it required them to think beyond textbook knowledge and apply their skills to a real-world issue.
Many appreciated the opportunity to explore PCB design in a structured competition format, and the judges commended the high-quality submissions and technical proficiency displayed by the participants.
The Women’s Day PCB Designing Competition successfully highlighted the importance of hands-on technical learning and reinforced the IEEE IA/IE/PELS Jt. Chapter Kerala’s
commitment to promoting women’s participation in electronics and engineering.
