Hands-on Workshop on PCB Designing using KiCad
As part of IEEE PELS Day 2025, the IEEE IA/IE/PELS Jt. Chapter Kerala,in association with IEEE PELS Society, successfully organized a Hands-on Workshop on PCB Designing using KiCad on June 20 & 21, 2025, at the College of Engineering, Trivandrum.
Participants gained valuable practical experience in designing Printed Circuit Boards using KiCad, a powerful open-source EDA tool widely used by professionals across the globe. The workshop provided in-depth insights into the PCB design process—from schematic capture to layout and final output—empowering attendees with essential hardware design skills.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and professionals alike, making it a fitting tribute to the spirit of innovation celebrated on PELS Day!

PELS DAY CELEBRATIONS!
The PELS DAY Summit was successfully held on June 22, 2025, at the College of Engineering Trivandrum, organized by the IEEE IA/IE/PELS Joint Chapter Kerala in collaboration with the IEEE PES Kerala Chapter and IEEE VTS Kerala Chapter.
The one-day summit celebrated innovation and excellence in Power Electronics, bringing together professionals, researchers, and students from across the state. The event featured expert talks, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, fostering meaningful dialogue on emerging technologies and trends in the field.
